Equine Boot Camp

A Fit Horse is a Horse That Wins

The Boot Camp experience is a custom designed, intensive, 6-week to 8-week program for your horse, starting with a physical analysis, their history, and your goals. We combine proven fitness conditioning methods, body work, and nutrition to increase physical strength and stamina. A truly fit horse is strong, balanced, flexible, and has endurance. Regardless of the job your horse performs, being properly fit will reduce the chance of injury, increase longevity, and improve performance.

It All Begins with Posture

Posture is a fundamental building block. Incorrect posture puts pressure on the spine and is the root cause of many back and other physical problems. It leads to decreased performance and increased injuries. Posture cannot be corrected overnight or with gadgets: it takes knowledge, hard work, and dedication.

Strength Training

Our program builds universal body strength by combining corrective exercises for posture with core muscle building and proprioception activities.

Body Work & PEMF

Your horse will receive Body Work and PEMF treatments daily to realign muscle tissue, increase flexibility, and reduce soreness. The Boot Camp takes a systemic approach to fitness for maximum results. We balance exercise with recovery time.

Massage: Our system combines static and dynamic body evaluation, massage, soft-tissue mobilization, stretching, range-of-motion exercises, body positioning, and muscle activation/release techniques. This integrated approach provides optimal support to the horse regardless of discipline. Approximately 1.5 hours per horse.

PEMF Treatments: 30-minute Pulsating Electro-Magnetic Field Blanket, Neck, Leg and Stifle Wraps.

Nutrition

Proper nutrition is key when building muscle. Many factors determine the nutritional needs of a horse: age, workload, health factors, and other specific circumstances. Our program works with a nutritionist to ensure that we are meeting the dietary needs of your horse while they are at Boot Camp.

Kindness & Compassion

We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. All our equine guests receive an abundance of love and compassion while in our care. We believe in listening to the horse while we work with them and respect what they are trying to communicate to us.
